Each artist has transformed and reimagined an old Warmink Zaanse clock.
The museum has it's 50 year anniversary.

Explore the captivating transformation of this Warmink Zaanse clocks.
In the 1950s, these charming clocks adorned nearly every home.
My idea for the transformation of the clock:
Like a metronome marking the rhythm of life,
the Zaanse clock measures the passage of time.
I also wrote lyrics for the clock: ODE AAN DE ZAANSE TIJD.

ODE AAN DE ZAANSE TIJD
Het zaans hart tikt
het zaans metriek
van ritme en van tijd.
Het zaans hart slaat.
De zaan muziekt
een tempo dat verglijdt.
Het zaans hart smakt
en oliet en cacao't
op eeuwen schone vlijt.
Het zaans hart huist
in staal en hout.
De schoonheid uit de tijd.
De zaan tikt,
de zaan hikt,
de zaan stroomt,
de zaan beloont,
de zaan riekt,
de zaan fabriekt,
de zaan vervoert,
de zaan ontroert.
